Make A Difference In Your Community
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation, without them we would not be able to offer many of the services we do!

A DBS check is required to volunteer with us, we will cover any such costs.

Volunteer Testimonial
Mary's Story
“I first got involved in SFN around 2015, I thought it would be a good way of encouraging my sister and late husband to get out and meet people. They were becoming more and more isolated for various reasons and I thought it would do them good. We attended the lunch club and really enjoyed it and made lots of good friends. I was then asked to become a telephone befriender, I really love talking to people and my personal circumstances mean I can’t get out and about as much as I’d like – befriending allows me that social contact whilst helping others too.
My preconceptions about organisations like SFN were so different to what it was really like, I have made met lots of lovely people and really made a difference in my community – it’s honestly the best thing I’ve ever done!”
