About The Charity

Seacroft Friends and Neighbours is a local charity based in Seacroft, East Leeds, West Yorkshire. We are part of the Neighbourhood Network Scheme (read more about the scheme here).

Our charity was incorporated in 2019 following the merger of 2 separate charities which covered north and south Seacroft, with well over 30 years operational experience between them.

Seacroft Friends and Neighbours aims to reduce loneliness and isolation of older people living predominately in Leeds 14, as well as improving the quality of their lives by enabling them to live independently, safely and healthily.

We do this through practical, educational and emotional enablement. We host a range of regular activities, day trips and offer support and advocacy in many different areas.

Partners & Funders

We are a registered charity and rely upon donations and grants to allow us to continue working in this way.

In October 2019, Leeds City Council awarded us a 5 year contract, with the possibility of further extensions which contributes significantly to meeting our running costs.

The remaining funds needed are raised through generating income (charging for services and activities), through fundraising and donations and from grant giving bodies.

It is always a challenge securing the extra funding and new supporters are always welcome.

If you believe in the work that we do and would like to support us or, if you or a family member/friend has received good personalised support from us, then please think about making a donation to SFN. Please see our Donate & Support section.
